I expected some engine updates for this third installment of Paw Patrol’s video games series. However, it is not so. This game is nearly identical to the previous ones. But I mean come on let’s be real here entertaining younger children is the goal. So, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it? Playing solo with an AI dog caused some problems. We were able to get stuck to objects and run into walls. It was surprising, considering the fact that Adventure was only two months old. Adventure had some color problems as well. City. It is great that these titles are available in PC formats. My belief is that it’s crucial to introduce computer basics to kids at an early age. We had the chance to play this game with some young ones around the ages of 2 ½ – 4 ½ years old. The menu can be a bit distracting, but once gameplay began it was seamless. Drakhar Studios was able to scale the difficulty level for this age group. It’s right at that sweet spot where they will not be discouraged by its difficulty and stay entertained. Each main story level lasts about 10 – 25 minutes. You will find many mini-games to challenge your hand-eye coordination. As you progress, collectibles are available. It is surprising to see no story elements in titles like these. It’s a fact what attracts kids to the brand the most is the shows and movies. The lack of story progression and cutscenes is something I find a major problem.
PAW Patrol the Movie: Adventure CityCalls offers a fun and engaging experience that is suitable for young people. Local co-op play provides a great opportunity to develop teamwork skills while trying to solve the game’s puzzles.
