Video: ‘Krypto Superdog’It’s Home!

Warner Bros. has announced that all animated series will now be available to purchase. Krypto is the SuperdogThe series will air on home video in August. Original series ran between 2005 and 2006. It had thirty-nine episodes. While the series is more of a Superman Family series, Ace the Bat-Hound was a prominent character as part of Krypto’s team.

 

This new home video release, unlike previous releases that only featured a handful of episodes from each series, will include the entire thirty-nine episodes. The release comes at a time when there is no surprise that it coincides with the launch of DC League of Super-PetsIt will be July. The animated movie will feature many of the same characters that appeared in the original animated cartoon series, which was created just 20 years ago.

 

Created by Chris Mitchell, Krypto the Superdog follows the adventures of the title character – Superman’s beloved pooch – who also acquires the powers afforded his original Earthbound master. Krypto, along with allies Ace The Bathound and Streaky The Supercat fight the forces of evil that include Lex Luthor’s animal companions Catwoman and Catwoman.

Sam Vincent (Ninjago, Sausage Party) voiced the title character to lead the robust cast that included Brian Drummond (Monster Beach) as Streaky, Scott McNeil (X-Men: Evolution) as Ace the Bat-Hound, Alberto Ghisi (Trick ‘r Treat) as Kevin Whitney, Tabita St. Germain (My Little Pony franchise) as Andrea, Terry Klassen (Dragon Ball Z) as Tusky Husky, Ellen Kennedy (Polly Pocket) as Brainy Barker, Michael Dobson (The Deep) as Bulldog. Peter Kelamis was the Tail Terrier. Trevor Devall, Hot Dog and Nicole Bouma were the Snooky Wookums.

Scott Jeralds from Static Shock and Alan Burnett from Batman: The Animated Series were the supervisors. Linda Steiner, Pound Puppies and Paul Dini were both producers. Sander Schwartz was the executive producer. Burnett and Dini were the story editors. All 39 episodes were directed by Jeralds.
